Has anyone actually managed to stop singing that yet? We certainly haven’t, since Carnival Fifty Six.
In fact, every morning at Rhumba Towers, we have a big, cuddly team huddle and bellow out a rousing acid house chant-a-long, to begin the day on a lovely, natural high. And why do we get the feeling it might not be the last time we hear it chanted across a Rhumba dancefloor this year…. Because it’s our BIRTHDAY!
Yes, yes, yes.... how magically exciting.... on Saturday 11th November 2017, we formally invite all of you crazy, mad hatters to the Rhumba’s 26th Birthday Party…. for a night of deliciously, naughty forest inspired and party antics, at The Ice Factory, in Perth.
Where will your head be at, we screech? It will be on the Rhumba dancefloor of course, joining us and an army of fellow Rhumbateers, to what we believe is a very special Birthday line-up. One that truly captures the heart, spirit and soul of the Rhumba, offering a whole night of superb back to back collaborations, put together to deliver a spine-tingling musical birthday soundscape.

Also dearly known within the Rhumba as Darren Emerson, Dave Seaman and Danny Howells! Three of the greatest DJ’s who have played for the Rhumba, joining up together for a back 2 back 2 back set, on a very special night. The boys have already been showcasing this idea around the World, and have recently played as far and wide as Ibiza, The Rex in Paris, The Gallery @ The Ministry of Sound in London, Glastonbury Festival, Latitude Festival, Tokyo…. and are now coming to a Rhumba Birthday Dancefloor. Expect surprises and something very special.

Another fantastic back 2 back offering, from two DJ’s who have both set many, many Rhumba dancefloors alight with their superb party inspired sets. Each a firm favourite with the Rhumbateers over our 26 year history, this will certainly be a joyous occasion, having these two House Generals, delivering the very best in house music – young and old!
Tom Simpson Curates (The Courtyard)
Tommy will once again curate our rather unique Courtyard area, which seems to be the centre of the universe nowadays. Joining Tom will be none other than the LEGEND, Yogi Haughton, making his first appearance at The Rhumba for more years than we can actually count.
So, there you go, 7 cracking headliners, who will be joined by a team from of our Rhumba stable of Djs. And only £18 for all that.
We also invite you to join us before you come along to the club. We will be taking over That Bar on South Street from 7pm until 11pm. We will announce more details on this later. There will be a free shuttle bus from this bar to the club. There will also be buses from Dundee and Angus. Details on that soon too.
